The developers of the systems, the companies that use them\u2014or everyone?<\/li>\n<li>How quickly do new medications and medical breakthroughs reach sick people?<\/li>\n<li>What happens to countries and regions that lag far behind technologically?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\nThis is the crucial pattern: Economic growth and new technologies often arise automatically. Fair distribution never arises automatically.\n\n<div class=\"callout\">An expert puts it this way: \"Economic growth will come \u2014 almost on its own.
